The annual German Studies Association conference brings together over 1,000 scholars in the areas of German history, literature, culture, politics and any other discipline with a focus on German-speaking Europe in any time period. Presentations range over the period between the Middle Ages and the present. Younger scholars, including graduate students, can present alongside established members of the association. The Forty-Second Annual Conference will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
